PURPOSE: The Production Director uses knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and stage elements to oversee the Production Team, ensuring the best quality and production value for all services at Calvary Church.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead the Production staff and volunteers during all live services and major events

· Create environment of spiritual and technical growth amongst the Production Team

· Create and manage budgets for Audio, Video, Lighting, and stages for all campuses

· Ensure that all Production needs are met for individual ministries and events

· Oversee performances and special event installations

· Work with external vendors for special event staging and rigging needs

· Communicate Production requirements and goals between both the Pastoral leadership and the Production Team

· Oversee all Production equipment purchases, installations, repairs, and upgrades at all campuses

· Ensure that all media content for services and events are correct and ready for execution with open communication with teaching pastor

· Keep informed on industry technologies and standards, setting goals for both the Production Team skillset and equipment updates

· Define and fill specific staff positions within the Production Team

· Oversee current procedures for event setup, teardown, equipment transportation and storage

· Provide an annual report of the Production Team to the Board of Directors

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre, Film, Television, or Digital Media; and at least five years full-time relevant experience in live production

· Professional working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and fabrication systems

· Strong creative and design sense for overall production value

· Strong leadership skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to work under pressure

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to anticipate, adapt, and take initiative
